Forum:How do I change the default save path for local games?

How do I change the default save path for local games? I am running Vista, and having the default save path in the default install directory is problematic. For starters the saves silently fail due to permissions problems.

Besides all that, I really would like to save it somewhere else, without clicking/typing forever. Surely there must be a variable to change. If someone could enlighten me I would be very happy.
