Forum:My Windows version crashes several times a day - why so often?

My Windows version crashes several times a day - why so often? Frequent occasions are:

1. new turn - I don't seem to get a clue about why
2. in city screen - if too many units successively homed or if wrong map tile clicked (though usually the screen just enlarges)
